What it will cost.
Cost is probably the single most often asked question by a prospective customer.
With overseas manufacturing competing for work with US suppliers, everyone needs to watch the bottom line to stay in business and although the ball screw repair industry is not directly effected, it's customers are, so at Precision Ball Screw Repair we intend to offer you the best price of any comparable product. Unfortunately, the only way we can give you the lowest price is to cost the job after a thorough evaluation.
We can give you an estimate over the phone.
To avoid unpleasant surprises and to let customers know what the maximum cost will be, we purposefully give telephone estimates on the high side, but remember, they are just estimates. It is almost impossible to give the best price without an in-house evaluation, so to be fair to the customer, we offer this service at no charge. If you don't like the quotation we give you, we will return the unit to you.
Shop around, talk to other company's telephone representatives and gauge their level of expertise and frankness to find the best work at the lowest price and if we can't win your custom, then we don't deserve it.
Be wary of a company that is prepared to give a price without seeing the ball screw. All ball screws are not created equal and the level of wear and damage can vary significantly. Without knowing exactly how much work needs to be done it would be impossible to give the lowest price to do the job.
